A beryllium copper cone coated with amorphous carbon moves up and down on the barrel arbor depending on the winding of the watch; when its position is low, the cylinder is fully cocked, and vice versa.
In contact with this mobile cone, a second cone also treated in amorphous carbon collects this information to transmit it to the power reserve indicator hand located at 12 o’clock. The amorphous carbon treatment on the two cones guarantees better tribological properties between them.
In order to ensure precise indication of the power reserve and its perfect maintenance in the event of shocks or sudden movements, an unprecedented double rack system guarantees permanent winding of the hand, and therefore its precision.
Finally, Caliber 2895 also offers a selection indicator mechanism. Depending on the position of the winding stem, the hand positioned on the dial at 6 o’clock indicates the function selected. The indications H, N, R correspond to the three positions of the winding stem, namely neutral (N), winding (R) and time setting (H).
